Terms of Service for HeyStranger

Welcome to HeyStranger, an anonymous social chat and AI companion platform provided by MadCodeLab ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account, downloading, accessing, or using the HeyStranger application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the application.

1. Age Eligibility Requirement (17+)

HeyStranger is strictly restricted to individuals who are at least 17 years old (or 18 years old in jurisdictions where 18 is the age of majority). By using HeyStranger, you represent and warrant that you meet this minimum age requirement. Minors under 17 are strictly forbidden from registering or utilizing the service.

2. License to Use

MadCodeLab grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to access and use the HeyStranger mobile application on compatible iOS and Android devices solely for personal, lawful, non-commercial entertainment and social communication.

3. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Zero-Tolerance Policy

In accordance with Apple App Store Guideline 1.2 and Google Play Developer Content Policies, HeyStranger enforces strict community guidelines. You are solely responsible for all messages, voice notes, photos, nicknames, and materials you transmit or share ("User Content").

There is ZERO TOLERANCE for objectionable content and abusive users. You expressly agree that you will NOT transmit, share, or upload content that:

• Sexual or Explicit Content: Contains pornography, nudity, sexually explicit depictions, prostitution, or solicitation of sexual acts.
• Harassment & Bullying: Threatens, stalks, intimidates, degrades, blackmails, or harasses any other user.
• Hate Speech: Promotes discrimination, violence, or hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation.
• Violence & Illegal Acts: Depicts or encourages acts of self-harm, suicide, physical violence, terrorism, or illegal substance distribution.
• Child Safety Violations: Involves any depiction, solicitation, or facilitation of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Such actions result in instantaneous permanent ban, hardware blacklisting, and mandatory reporting to law enforcement authorities.
• Doxxing & Privacy Invasions: Shares personally identifiable information (such as real full names, phone numbers, home addresses, or financial details) of any third party without explicit authorization.
• Scams & Commercial Fraud: Solicits financial transfers, cryptocurrency transactions, spam marketing, or commercial sales pitches.

4. In-App Safety Tools: Reporting and Blocking Mechanisms

HeyStranger equips all users with intuitive, real-time safety and enforcement mechanisms directly within every active chat session:

• Immediate User Blocking: You can block your conversational partner at any point with one tap. Blocking immediately severs the active connection, discards incoming messages, and permanently excludes the blocked individual from ever appearing in your future matchmaking radar.
• Direct Flagging & Reporting: You can report abusive behavior by selecting predefined reason categories. Reports are escalated to our moderation queue for review within 24 hours.
• Enforcement & Sanctions: Violations of these terms result in immediate disciplinary measures, including formal warnings, temporary suspensions, permanent account bans, and device-level hardware exclusion without refund or compensation.

5. AI Wingman Guidelines

The AI Wingman feature offers algorithmic suggestions to help break the ice and improve conversational quality. You acknowledge that AI responses are generated automatically for entertainment and conversational assistance. You agree not to manipulate, abuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt prompt injection attacks against the AI infrastructure.

6. In-App Coins & Virtual Items

HeyStranger may offer in-app virtual currency ("Coins") or unlockable items (such as avatar customizations or conversation features).

• Coins and virtual items are non-monetary digital goods licensed solely for internal app entertainment. They do not hold cash value and cannot be transferred, traded, or redeemed for fiat currency.
• Except as required by applicable consumer protection laws or store policies (Apple App Store / Google Play Store), all purchases are final and non-refundable.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All design elements, trademarks, logos, audio tracks, graphics, software algorithms, and server infrastructure comprising HeyStranger are the proprietary property of MadCodeLab. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, copy, adapt, or distribute any part of the service without prior written authorization.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

HeyStranger is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. While we actively enforce moderation tools and server stability, MadCodeLab does not guarantee uninterrupted connection, 100% bug-free operation, or the truthfulness and character of any individual matched through the platform.

To the fullest extent permissible by law, MadCodeLab and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your interactions with other users or your use of the application.

9. Termination & Account Deletion

You have the right to terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account through the in-app settings (Profile → Delete Account) or by requesting deletion via madcodelab68@gmail.com. MadCodeLab reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access immediately if you breach any provision of these Terms.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
